Job Description

As a Loan Officer Assistant, you will support loan officers by managing borrower documentation, running loan qualification scenarios, reviewing credit data, and ensuring files are complete and ready for processing—helping move applications smoothly from pre-approval to full submission.

The Qualifications We Seek
Education

  • High school diploma minimum
  • College degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred

Experience

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar role

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and time management
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently

Nice to Have

  • Portuguese language proficiency

Your Daily Tasks
Document Management

  • Receive borrower documents, organize and relabel files, and ensure completeness

Data Entry

  • Input borrower and financial information into the loan origination system (LOS)

Credit Review

  • Pull and review credit reports as part of the pre-approval process

Follow-Up

  • Request and track missing or incomplete borrower documents

Scenario Analysis

  • Run loan qualification scenarios to support loan officer review

Pre-Approval Letters

  • Prepare and issue pre-approval letters once requirements are met

Collaboration

  • Work closely with loan officers to provide timely updates
  • Ensure files are ready for full application and processing
